St.Helens Council has taken care to ensure that information reproduced on the info4St.Helens website is accurate. However, St.Helens Council accept no responsibility for the accuracy of the information, its use or the reliance placed on it, nor liability for information on sites linked to or from these pages.
Users may reproduce material and information from info4St.Helens unless otherwise stated, however users must ensure that the name of the data source is copied alongside any data reproduced. Copyright is owned by the data provider.
St.Helens Council holds and processes personal data in accordance with all current legislation relating to data protection.
What data do we collect about you?
We collect data about you when you register on the info4StHelens website.
Info4StHelens will only collect basic personal data: user name, password and email address. We do not collect or retain data relating to race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health or sexual preferences.
Our systems will not store your username or email address unless volunteered to us by you. This shall be treated as proprietary and confidential; we do not sell or share your contact details with any third parties.
How do we use the information about you?
The information collected about you is used to send you emails and newsletters with key statistics and data about St Helens population and place.
Access to your information
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a copy of some or all of your personal information.
Sharing your personal data
We do not share any contact details with partners we work with.
St Helens Council has appropriate IT safeguards to ensure that its data is kept secure in encrypted storage. Our employees are instructed to follow St. Helens Council internal security policy, which includes measures preventing the loss, destruction, misuse and unauthorised disclosure of any personal data kept on our database.

Mailing list - If you have consented to receive emails, you may opt out at any time by contacting email@example.com and request to be removed from the list.
Cookies do lots of different jobs. The cookies employed on the info4St.Helens site are either ‘strictly necessary cookies’, which enable you to access the site if you sign up as a registered user, or ‘functionality cookies’, which allow the website to remember the choices that you have made, such as changes you have made to the customisable parts of the website.
There are no methods in the Instant Atlas info4 product to programmatically turn off particular cookies. Please note that if cookies are disabled in the User’s internet browser some functionality of the site may be lost.
